Wall Climb Fundraiser
Please come up with a text and layout for our wall climb fundraiser.
What is on: 5k wall traverse challenge.
idea is to use a team of 5 members to cover 5 kilometres as quickly as possible. (approx 1k each)
When its on: last Sunday of Mid term Begin challenge 1.30pm
Where its on: 1st Dublin , Fairview, Scout Den, Croyden green.
How much it will cost: Free entry. Hope everyone will come and support us.
Refreshments will be available and games in den on the day.
Come and support your local scouts in their endeavour to set up a new world record challenge, to get a team of 5 people to cover a cumulative distance of 5K ( 500 x 10Mtr Legs ) over an indoor climbing wall in the quickest time.
A 10mtr section (Leg) of the wall is allocated for the challenge.
Holds are laid out in the optimum positions for your team participants.
1/ Clock starts as the 1st person steps off the floor at the entry point, and ends when the last 10mtr section (Leg) is passed.
2/ Any number of the 5 team members can be on the wall at the same time.
3/ 1 x 10mtr Leg is recorded every time a team member steps off the wall after crossing 10mtr exit point.
4/ Overtaking can only be done on the return run to get back on the wall at the entry point.
5/ If you step or fall off the wall before clearly crossing the exit point you must return to begin that 10mtr Leg again. No unit is recorded for that leg
6/ Fastest team to cover 500 Legs sets the record.

Keep bringing payments down every week …. spreading payments make it easier to manage.
We will be tying in with scouts tor many activities except for our highlight of the camp which will be a climb to an Alpine lodge ” The Fruden Hutt” where we will stay overnight and do some Ice climbing on the near bye Glacier.
This is an expensive add on and but well worth it.
Fairview Venturers were there with me many years ago and it was the highlight of their camp.
We need to plan a week of activities to do, that wont break the bank. Switzerland is mega expensive.
Follow the link above and let me know what you would like to do. ( We will need to book these activities soon as they go really fast. As scouts from all over the world will be there trying to get in front of us.
